The steering committee of the 57th congress of the European Organization for Caries Research is very pleased to invite you to come to Montpellier, France, from 7-10 July 2010. This is a fine opportunity for ORCA members and interested others to visit the Montpellier region of France and to combine the visit with a high quality scientific meeting of cariology researchers from the whole world.
You will catch up with friends and colleagues, you will meet faces to go with the names you know from the literature, you will hear the latest research reports and you will be able to plan exchanges and collaborations, put forward points of view and generally contribute to your knowledge and research understanding in this domain.
The ancient maritime trading city of Montpellier, located in the south of France very close to the Mediterranean coast, is a lovely place in which to work and is in addition a very nice holiday destination with beaches, vineyards and old Roman culture in close proximity. Bring the family and have a holiday in July, before the flood of tourists arrives in late July and August.
The University of Montpellier, established 1220, possesses the oldest faculty of Medicine in Western Europe (founded 1180) and has numerous active research units, including a dental school. Montpellier is also the capital of the Languedoc-Roussillon region of France, one of the most beautiful regions, and forms a real link between the past and the future, and the pathway between the North and the south of Europe.
You can come to Montpellier by air, by TGV train or by road using the network of autoroutes. We hope you will come and attend one of the best dental scientific events of 2010.
